The people behind the decisions that shape our community.

Every municipality has staff to administer the policies, programs and services that council has approved. Municipal staff also provide information and advice to help council members make decisions. The Village of Thornloe has a Clerk/Treasurer that keeps the town running!

By-laws are rules and regulations governing everyone. Municipal councils pass municipal by-laws which can affect the local community. By-laws are intended to regulate the actions of people and businesses in
the municipality.

Thornloe is governed by a council, just like all other municipalities. Council members are elected by the citizens of the municipality. The head of council is the mayor or the reeve. Thornloe has a Reeve.
